This form composed entirely of twisted wire held together tightly at its naval (the center of the sculpture) by a band of thicker wire. Initially, before the tentacles are twisted, the final form was unknown to me, and as I individually twist the wire around an unused paint brush to create the twisting tentacles, the form begins to take shape. I then trim the stray wires to give a more solid form and then apply a thin coat of spray paint to protect the wire from rusting and give it a personality. There is a sort of intrigue and mystery in the process of making these sculptures as the final form is a mystery to me during the process of creation. Titled ribbon, it was displayed at the Ligne Roset furniture store in Kuala Lumpur on its opening night.
