Short day dream

Acrylic on wire with screws and wood

A wall-mounted version of Bushes, this solitary sculpture was hung a bit higher than eye-level to create a sense of disorientation. Composed of twisted wire and attached to a piece of wood and screws, the sculptures initially was planned to be displayed in a group of similar wall-mounted wire works. The form was again never planned initially and is a by-product of the twisting tentacles. This sculpture is a physical interpretation of a day experienced by the artist, and the form, scale, color and position in display results in giving that impression.
